Which outages trigger an email?
Major and critical incidents from a provider you watch. Minor issues and scheduled maintenance do not send an email. Recovery emails go out when an outage you were emailed about is resolved after at least 30 minutes.

Yes. While you are signed in with an active subscription, ad slots are hidden and ad scripts are not loaded.
