- Sep 8, 2026, 09:26 AMService Issue - Cloud Manager and API
Between approximately 10:15 and 12:18 UTC on September 7, 2026, customers could have experienced elevated error rates and 5xx response codes when using Cloud Manager or performing API calls. The investigation revealed that the issue started due to increased API load that over-utilized our database resources which in turn led to the symptoms seen by users. Ongoing actions include monitoring platform stability, and planning enhancements to API rate limiti

What to do next
- Verify your own services recovered cleanly. Some upstream outages leave queues or caches in a degraded state, run smoke tests before declaring green internally.
- Save the post-mortem. Vendors usually publish a detailed RCA 1-3 days later. We'll add it to this page when it appears.
- Watch the provider going forward. Follow Linode's status feed →
GlobalOutageMap aggregates publicly reported signals. We never claim authoritative status, always cross-check the provider's official channel before making business decisions.
