ResolvedminorOfficial source confirmedMulti-region impactFirst recorded update Jul 31, 2026, 05:49 PM · Resolved Aug 5, 2026, 01:34 AM

On July 31, 2026, at approximately 10:00 UTC, Akamai observed intermittent network losses affecting compute users accessing US locations from our India sites \(MAA and BOM\). Customers’ services in North America, particularly the Miami data center region, experienced increased latency, intermittent connectivity issues, slower data transfers, and difficulty reaching certain applications or services. Performance was unstable, with periods of normal operation followed by disruptions. To address the issue, Akamai applied a deny-all policy to the impacted upstream provider transit link,...

What to do next

  • Verify your own services recovered cleanly. Some upstream outages leave queues or caches in a degraded state, run smoke tests before declaring green internally.
  • Save the post-mortem. Vendors usually publish a detailed RCA 1-3 days later. We'll add it to this page when it appears.
  • Watch the provider going forward. Follow Linode's status feed →

GlobalOutageMap aggregates publicly reported signals. We never claim authoritative status, always cross-check the provider's official channel before making business decisions.
