What to do when KPN is down

- Restart the modem once, then leave it alone. Repeated restarts during a network outage do not help and can extend resynchronisation time.
- Switch mobile data on if fixed internet fails, and vice versa, to keep essential services running.
- Check whether neighbours are affected, that distinguishes a line fault from a network outage.
- Report a suspected cable break; local damage is only fixed once it is reported.
